The beauty of a piercing is the freedom to transform the body with the option to change it back at any time. Body piercing is a form of body modification and with any modification, you should be certain that this is something you definitely want beforehand, regardless of where the piercing is located. A Body piercing can either be done by puncturing an opening using a needle blade (usually a hollow needle) or a cannula. LTD Retribution has an age restriction policy that must be adhered too. A full breakdown of the policy can be located at the bottom of this page.

Following the correct aftercare instructions for your piercing can make all the difference towards the healing process. Choosing not to follow the aftercare puts your piercing at risk from getting an infection and/or rejection. LTD Retribution will not be held liable for any poor aftercare, it is solely your responsibility.

HAND HYGIENE
You must ensure that you thoroughly wash your hands with warm water and antibacterial soap before touching your piercing.

JEWELLERY
Ensure to tighten the jewellery ball. This will prevent the ball coming loose and the jewellery coming out. DO NOT remove the jewellery to clean it. This should be left inside until the piercing is completely healed.

CLEANING BODY PIERCINGS
For the next 6-8 weeks you will need to clean your piercing with salt water or saline solution. First remove any dried build up. Using a cotton bud or pad, dip it into the solution and thoroughly clean the entry and exit area of the piercing. Clean any visible parts of the jewellery without pushing or pulling on it. DO NOT double dip. Ensure to use a fresh bud or pad to dry the area. If your piercing feels irritated or sore you can do a salt soak. Soak a gauze or pad in solution and gently apply it to the piercing for 5-10 minutes before drying.

CLEANING MOUTH PIERCINGS
Gargle non-alcoholic mouthwash a minimum of 3 times a day. Once especially before you go to sleep.

AVOID
Avoid submerging the piercing in water for a minimum of 2 weeks.
Avoid touching, picking or messing with the piercing and/or jewellery.
Avoid friction from clothing and unnecessary pressure.
Avoid hanging charms or chains until they are full healed.
Avoid changing jewellery too soon. A recommended minimum healing period of atleast 6-8 weeks.
