Before the procedure, clients often discuss their desire eyebrow shape, freckles, beauty spots or lip shape etc. and colour. The process itself involves meticulous application of the pigment. Aftercare instructions, such as avoiding excessive moisture and sun exposure, are crucial for optimal results. Following the correct aftercare instructions for your semi permanent makeup can make all the difference towards the healing process. Choosing not to follow the aftercare puts the micropigmentation at risk from getting an infection. How quickly you heal depends on each individual. LTD Retribution will not be held liable for any poor aftercare, it is solely your responsibility.

HAND HYGIENE
You must ensure that you thoroughly wash your hands with warm water and antibacterial soap before touching your semi permanent makeup.

DAY 1
On the day of treatment you must wipe the treated area every hour with cooled boiled water and a cotton wool pad. Let it dry naturally before applying a thin layer of Vitamin A + D ointment as supplied by your SPMU Technician.

DAY 2 - 7
Your semi permanent makeup will begin to oxidise during the next few days which will cause the pigment to look darker. This is completely normal and will either flake away or fade back to the original colour implanted. Continue to clean the area for the next 7 days in the morning and evening and apply the ointment if your semi permanent makeup appears dry throughout the day.

DAY 7 - 14
Other fading or loss may occur. Some light flaking of the pigment is normal. DO NOT pick at the scabs or dry areas that may form. This can cause you to lose the pigment.

DAY 14 - 21
Over the next 2-3 weeks the pigment will lighten by up to 50%. Don't worry as your skin repairs itself over the next 6-8 weeks it will reveal the pigment below. Don't forget to book your top-up appointment.
